Deep In the Woods

Brief

Deep in the Woods is a boutique furniture manufacturer making beautiful furniture from reclaimed timber. The project was to develop an online presence that matched the emotion and feel of the products made by the crafty company

The design strategy for this site was to make a strong use of product photography and capture the same mood and emotion you feel when you see and touch the products.

The design strategy for this site was to make a strong use of product photography and capture the same mood and emotion you feel when you see and touch the products.

Solution

The site was built on Salad Bowl our simple CMS platform, to allow for simple updates to the site. We also utilised Flickr for image management and reducing the traffic payload.

Results

The site has given Deep in the Woods a competitive edge that has allowed them to stay clear of expensive retail space while still allowing the public to find and view their work.

With a well designed site and continual content changes, we’ve delivered a site that is heavily Search Engine Optimised and accessible on all form factors.

The site has delivered a 50% increase in foot traffic visiting the Deep In the Woods studio and workshop.
